Frequently Asked Questions

  • Craigs Station was a stop on the historic Delaware Lackawanna & Western railroad, that ran from Hoboken, New Jersey to Buffalo, New York. Craigs Station was located about a mile east of the present day Creamery. The railroad was used for many functions, including passenger trains and bulk freight. Around the turn of the 19th century there was also a Creamery located at Craigs Station, where local farmers would bring their milk to be skimmed and the resulting cream and butter was shipped on the railroad. While the creamery and railroad have long since left the site, the concept of providing fresh dairy products to local markets lives on through Craigs Creamery.

  • We process orders within 48 hours! However, if you placed an order on a Wednesday, it will not ship until the following Monday. No one wants cheese sitting in a warehouse over the weekend! Once it ships, you will receive a tracking # and know down to an hour or two when to expect it.

  • It means it is in fact naturally aged cheddar cheese! The crystals form as the cheddar cheese dries during the aging process. If you serve the cheese at room temperature, you'll also notice an even more robust flavor profile in our aged cheddar cheeses.

  • Thank you for your interest. We do occasionally offer farm tours to schools and educational groups. The Craigs campus does not offer tours.
